Existing Privacy Notice from the GogServ application.
1. Information You Provide
Account and profile information may include your name, email address, profile photo, phone number, mailing address, city, state, country, and ZIP code.
Service request information may include the service category, task description, preferences, budget, urgency, comments, service-area ZIP code, and updates you make to a request.
If you register as a service provider, we may collect your business name, business description, services offered, service-area ZIP codes, business contact details, website, licensing information, profile photo, and other information you choose to add to your provider profile.
Provider address, business, contact, service-area, and licensing information may be reviewed or verified to maintain profile accuracy, platform trust, safety, and compliance. Verification may involve information you provide, public records, or verification vendors where permitted by law.
We also collect content you submit through messages, ratings, reviews, support requests, reports, and other communications.
2. Authentication Information
GogServ uses Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication to help create and authenticate accounts. When you sign in with Google, we receive account information made available through that sign-in flow, such as your identifier, name, email address, and profile image, subject to your Google settings and permissions.
Authentication providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. GogServ receives authentication tokens or identifiers needed to verify your session; you should not send your Google password to GogServ.
3. Device and Technical Information
When you use GogServ, we and our service providers may process device type, operating system, app version, IP address, timestamps, network and connection information, session identifiers, diagnostic events, and server logs.
If you enable notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging may provide a device or registration token and notification-delivery information. GogServ requests notification permission through your device operating system.
GogServ uses the ZIP codes and service areas you provide to match requests with providers. The current app does not require continuous precise GPS tracking for this matching feature.
Optional offline writing and translation features may download a language model to your device. Text processed by those offline features remains on the device unless you later submit or send that text through GogServ.
4. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- Create, authenticate, maintain, and secure accounts and sessions.
- Create and display service requests and provider profiles.
- Match service requests with providers based on service type and area.
- Deliver chat messages, responses, unread indicators, and notifications.
- Enable users to review providers, select a provider, and manage requests.
- Provide customer support and respond to questions or reports.
- Detect misuse, investigate safety or security concerns, and enforce our Terms.
- Review or verify provider identity, address, contact, service-area, business, and credential information.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, analyze, and improve GogServ features and reliability.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect users, GogServ, and others.
5. Information Visible to Other Users
Service request details may be shown to eligible service providers so they can decide whether to respond. Avoid placing unnecessary personal or sensitive information in request descriptions or comments.
A provider’s business name, description, expertise, services, ratings, and other public profile information may be shown to users reviewing that provider. GogServ is designed to keep provider contact details hidden until the user accepts that provider, but users and providers should still use care when sharing information in chat.
Messages are shared with the participants in the relevant request and provider conversation. Ratings and reviews may be displayed to other users with information needed to understand the review context.
6. How We Share Information
We may share information in the following circumstances:
- With users and service providers as needed to operate requests, profiles, matching, messaging, selection, ratings, and reviews.
- With vendors and infrastructure providers that support authentication, cloud messaging, hosting, storage, communications, security, and app operations, including Google and Firebase services.
- When reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or government requests, or to protect rights, safety, property, users, or the public.
- In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, bankruptcy, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to applicable legal requirements.
- With your direction or consent, or when you intentionally make information public through the service.
7. Local Storage and App Preferences
The app uses secure device storage for authentication or session information and uses local preferences for settings such as theme selection, notification-related state, user identifiers, and other app preferences. Removing the app or clearing its storage may remove some locally stored information but may not delete information held by GogServ’s servers.
8. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide GogServ, maintain account and transaction history, support safety and fraud prevention, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet legal obligations, and protect legitimate business interests.
Retention periods may differ based on the type of information and why it is processed. Some information may remain in backups or records required for security, legal, accounting, or compliance purposes after an account or request is deleted.
9. Security
GogServ uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information, including authenticated API access and secure device storage for certain credentials. No transmission, storage system, or security measure is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or loss will never occur.
Protect your device and account, sign out of devices you do not control, and contact support if you suspect unauthorized activity. Do not send passwords, government identification numbers, financial account details, or other highly sensitive information through chat.
10. Your Choices and Rights
You can update certain profile information, edit eligible service requests, choose app themes, manage operating-system notification permissions, and control what you include in requests, profiles, messages, and reviews.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or information about certain uses or disclosures of personal information. These rights may be subject to verification, exceptions, and legal record-retention requirements.
To make a privacy request, contact support@gogserv.com and describe your request. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and protect your account.
11. Children’s Privacy
GogServ is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through GogServ, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
12. International Processing
GogServ and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Privacy and data-protection laws may differ across jurisdictions. Where required, appropriate measures will be used for cross-border processing.
13. Third-Party Services
GogServ may link to or integrate with third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices and are not controlled by this Privacy Notice. Review third-party privacy information before providing data or using an external service.
14. Changes to This Notice
We may update this Privacy Notice to reflect changes in GogServ, our practices, or legal requirements. We will post the revised notice and update the effective date. When required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
